On July 21, 2020 Elox Musk space company SpaceX launches South Korea 1st military satellite “ANASIS-II” into space. Falcon 9 SpaceX rocket ANASIS-II satellite deployed into a Geostationary orbit (GEO).

South Korea Military satellite was launched from United States Space Force the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, USA.

After Iran, South Korea has become the 10th nation to launched it’s own military communications satellite, ANASIS-II will provide permanent and secured communication to S.Korean military. SpaceX revealed ANASIS-II is expected to cover 36,000 kilometres in 2 weeks. 

In October 2019, South Korea’s military take successful testing.

ANASIS-II

ANASIS-II named after Koreasat-5/ANASIS-I satellite. KMitSatCom-1 satellite renamed to ANASIS-II. Koreasat-5/ANASIS-I satellite, a unite civilian and military communications satellite launched from Naro Space Center in 2006.

ANASIS-II spacecraft of the satellite is based on Eurostar series, Airbus’s Eurostar E3000 satellite bus.
