PM of India Sh. Narendra Damodardas Modi has launched a 125-days campaign on Today 26 June 2020 that will provide Jobs for migrant and daily wage workers in the state of Uttar Pradesh (State in India). PM Modi launch The campaign with name Atma Nirbhar Uttar Pradesh Rojgar Abhiyan. The campaign was launched through video conferencing under Digital India in the presence of Yogi Adityanath (CM of Uttar Pradesh).

Under this Sceme PM announced 5000 tool kits will also be distributed under the Atma Nirbhar Bharat Initiative in the Uttar Pradesh.

The mega job scheme launched by PM Modi on 26 June is part of the Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan that was launched on 20 June this year by PM of India himself.

The Atma Nirbhar Campaign launched 26 June will focus on providing Jobs in a total of 31 districts of Uttar Pradesh state. There are more than 25,000 migrant workers return to home in each of the 31 districts. More than 30,00000 migrant workers have backed home in the state of UP following the loss of jobs in urban cities of the nation after the nation lockdown was implemented in March this year due to the pandemic. Under the Atma Nirbhar campaign, jobs to migrant workers in the remaining 44 districts of the UP and for other daily wage workers in the Uttar Pradesh those who require a job will also be provided.

How the Abhiyan Scheme will be implemented?

Various departments of the union government have been assigned to provide under the Atma Nirbhar campaign to those who need it. 25 works related to public infrastructure and for improvement of livelihood opportunities have been chosen for the Atma Nirbhar campaign such as the construction of rural houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, plantation drives, construction of roads under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, etc. by PM of india  Work will be provided based on the skill set of the workers.
