Rose Christiane Ossouka Raponda has been elected as the 1st woman PM of Central Africa nation Gabon. Rose Christiane becomes the 12th PM of the Gabon and succeeds Julien Nkoghe Bekale.

In Last Prime Minister Tenure Rose Christiane served as Defence Minister of Gabon since February 2019. Raponda appointment is the 4th cabinet reshuffle by the President of Gabon, (Ali Bongo Ondimba) who has been President of Gabon since October 2009.

Ossouka Raponda is an economist by training who graduated from the Gabonese Institute of Economy and Finance (Gabon), specialising in public finance.
