Russian illustrator and the designer of the Olympic mascot, Misha, Viktor Alexandrovich Chizhikov dies at 84. Chizhikov illustrated during Soviet era of Hugh Lofting’s “Doctor Dolittle” as well as during Soviet eras A.A. Milne’s Winnie the Pooh books released.

Chizhikov also worked with Sergei Mikhalkov, Russian author of the Soviet anthem (The unbreakable union of the free republics Great Russia rallied forever Long live created by the will of the peoples United, mighty Soviet Union …) praising Josef Stalin.
