Swedish Climate Activist, Greta Tintin Eleonora Ernman Thunberg was awarded the Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity and awarded with € 1 million as prize money.

The Swedish Activist is to donate € 1 million the prize money environment and climate change organizations . Greta Tintin is the 1st swedish girl to receive the Gulbenkian Prize. 17 year old Thunberg was selected among 136 nominees from 43 nations.

Greta Tintin Eleonora Ernman Thunberg is a Swedish environmental activist. Greta is 17 year old who work as Climate Activist. She born in Stockholm, Sweden. Her Father Svante Thunberg is Swedish actor and Mother Malena Ernman Swedish opera singer.

Friday for Future Movement

Thunberg launched Friday for Future climate strike movement during school time with other students of Sweden. Friday for Future soon gained international recognition and students globally joined the movement.

Friday for Future is also Known as youth for Climate, Youth Strike for Climate, Climate Strike.

Gulbenkian Prize

The Gulbenkian Prize is awarded yearly by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (promote arts, philanthropy, science, and education). In 1976, Gulbenkian Prize was established. The prize distribution ceremony is held in Portugal (southern European country).
