Government of Chhattisgarh has organised the India’s 1st E-Lok Adalat  during pandemic. The E-Lok Adalat was conducted through video conferencing under the e-Lok Adalat along with its live streaming. e-Lok Adalat is a part of digital india. The “E-Lok Adalat” was organized by the High Court and Chhattisgarh State Legal Services Authority and was inaugurated by P R Ramachandra Menon, the Chief Justice of Chhattisgarh High Court.


The “e-Lok Adalat” were organized in order to bring relief to people and to reduce the pendency of cases during pandemic. During the “e-Lok Adalat”, over 3,000 cases were heard in around 200 benches of 23 districts across the state.

The E-Lok Adalat was conducted in 195 benches in Chhattisgarh. A total of 3133 cases were placed before the 195 benches out which 848 cases were attended by 24 benches from Raipur the capital of Chhattisgarh.
