On 18 June, 2020 The Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) has announced that the 4th edition of the Asian Youth Para Games to be held in Bahrain from 1-10 December 2021.
It will be a first time Bahrain hosting Asian Youth Para Games. Around 800 athletes under age 20 years are expected to compete in 9 sports: goalball, athletics, badminton, boccia, para taekwondo, powerlifting, swimming, table tennis and wheelchair basketball. Shaikh Mohammed bin Duaij Al Khalifa Chairman of the Bahrain Paralympic Committee Said “We are proud and honoured to have won the bid to host the Asian Youth Para Games 2021 in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Asian Youth Para Games is a multi-sport event held every four years for youth athletes with physical disabilities. First event: 2010 Asian Para Games in Guangzhou, China and Last event: 2018 Asian Para Games in Jakarta, Indonesia
