4 February observed as a International Day of Human Fraternity every year. The Day aims to underline the importance of raising awareness about different cultures and religions, or beliefs, and the promotion of tolerance. International Day of Human Fraternity also aims to educate people that tolerance, pluralistic tradition,  mutual respect, and the diversity of religions and beliefs promote human fraternity.

Background History

On 21 December, United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) adopted a resolution declaring 4th February as the International Day of Human Fraternity. The day is to be observed every year, beginning in 2021.
