Founder and CEO of Startup Village (Public Private Partnership Technology Business Incubato) and cofounder of MobME, Sijo Kuruvilla George has been appointed to the Central Government’s committee on Science, Technology and Innovation Policy (STIP 2020) by Appointments Committee of the Cabinet Lead by PM Modi . With this, he has become the part of the eight-member panel which is led by Harkesh Mittal – Advisor, Ministry of Science & Technology.
STIP 2020 was formulated by the Department of Science and Technology within the Ministry of Science and Technology and Principal Scientific Advisor of the Union government of India. The Central Government’s committee is responsible for updating the existing 2013 policy with a thrust to be given to scientific innovations. It is the 5th science and technology policy in the nation.
