Medicab, India’s first Portable Hospital Developed by Indian Institute of Technology Madras. Medicab supported startup Modulus Housing. Adhoc Hospital can be dragged anywhere and can be installed within 2-3 hours.
The Medicab is being launched in Wayanad rural district in Kerala state where the first Portable Hospital are being deployed to treat COVID-19 patients.
The Medicab is foldable, Adhoc includes 4 medical zones such as a doctors’s room, a medical room, isolation room, and a double bed ICU.
In India during pandemic govt has 0.7 beds per 1000 persons. Further MediCAB will help to boost health care infrastructure in India.
