American computer engineer William Kirk English dies at 91. William contributed to the development of the computer mouse. The original computer mouse, as built by Bill English in the mid 60s.
In 1964, William Kirk and Douglas Carl Engelbart was co-develop the mouse, at the Stanford Research Institute (Menlo Park, California) and ‘demonstrated it in 1968, in what was dubbed “the mother of all demos”.
He was awarded with ACM Software System Award in computer field.
